Taxi and shuttle transfer – Split

Split is the largest city and transport hub of Dalmatia. Millions of tourists visit, or just pass through Split every year. Arrival by plane has been an increasingly convenient and popular way to reach Croatia, and Split airport is the second biggest air traffic hub of Croatia, just after Zagreb. The airport is located some 20 kilometers outside of the city, in the nearby settlement of Kaštela. Until recently, the airport was lacking in infrastructure, having only one runway and very limited resources. However, after a thorough reconstruction and expansion, it now has four state of the art runways, high-tech terminal and completely new apron coating. This allows it to house nearly every aircraft type, and can service more inbound-outbound flights per day.

As mentioned, Split airport is bested only by the one in Zagreb. In 2010, it serviced somewhere in the region of 1 300 000 passengers, but the number soared since then, and could be close to 2 million in 2013. It is a regional hub for Croatia Airlines, national air transport company of Croatia, and several other large companies. In addition to frequent regular lines to more than 75 European cities, Split airport is constantly expanding its list of destinations, mainly in Russia and Western Europe. We will gladly arrange taxi transfer or shuttle service to and from Split for you.

There are more than fifty airline companies operating lines to and from Split airport, and additionally, around fifteen low-cost companies (such as RyanAir, GermanWings etc.), who contribute a significant portion of flights and passengers. In recent years, the UK, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia became the most promising markets and source of the majority of arrivals in Split airport.
