Taxi and shuttle transfer – ferry port Split

As far as passenger transport goes, Split is by far the busiest of all Croatian ports. There are over 50 daily lines going in and out of Split, connecting almost every part of the coast, including islands. Croatian national ferry company, Jadrolinija operates the majority of all the lines, but there are several private companies that offer ferry transport. With over 4 million passengers yearly, the port is compared to those of Naples and Piraeus. Frequent lines and the number of passengers cause problems with waiting lines, and crowds of tourists waiting for their ferry have become a normal sight in Split.

In addition to the thriving ferry traffic, Split is becoming an increasingly popular cruise destination. Every year thousands of tourists from cruisers visit Split, which is slowly taking its place as the most popular destination in Croatia. International lines connect Split with several destinations, mainly in Italy – Bar, Ancona and Pescara, making this port the main destination for hundreds of thousands of Italian tourists every summer.
